Leather Care Products
By Bill Maguire

I found a product, "Lexol", in the hardware store. I'm no leather
expert, nor am I scientific minded with a chemistry background by any
stretch. Nonetheless, I'm thinking this stuff would likely be good for
cleaning, preserving, making more airtight leather (valve facings etc).

It can be "scary" when one doesn't know what they don't know. Years
ago I thought neatsfoot oil and mink oil were great for this; we now
know these products can deteriorate the leather in many instances.
For the last several years I've been using Ballistol [mineral oil]
and silicone oil.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with "Lexol Leather
Cleaner" and "Lexol Leather Conditioner" or similar products?

Thanks,
Bill Maguire
