Regulating the Piano Action to the Player Action
By John Phillips

Dear MMD,

Yesterday I was suffering from frustration; today I am cringing in
embarrassment. A couple of MMD readers have already pointed out that
setting piano hammers to a 1" travel is ridiculously small. I agree.

I had set the travel to 1-3/4". However, I thought I would be smart
and I pasted the Word symbol for 3/4 into my message. It looked fine
in the text on my computer screen, but Eudora seems not to have
recognised it, and ignored it. Oops.

[ The above is John's mea culpa. But I am publishing the five messages
[ below to show that MMD readers are on the job and ready to help avert
[ a disaster, even though it was a false alarm caused by Bill Gates.
