Dear folks,  I learned yesterday that a giant in the automatic music
field died last week on Monday, June 13, 2011.  Robert F. (Fritz)
Gellerman lived in Gainesville, Florida, and died suddenly in Miami at
age 82.  I have searched but have not found an obituary or death notice.

Fritz Gellerman wrote several books published by the Vestal Press on
the subject of reed organs and they are still considered standards on
the subject.  Fritz was a longtime member of MBSI and often attended
organ rallies with his trailer mounted organs.  He had a number of
mechanical musical instruments including a large collection of reed
organs, but has downsized in recent years.

If anyone on the MMDigest has any more information about Fritz
Gellerman's death, I'm sure we would all like to hear about it.  He was
a fine gentleman and we will all miss him.
