I have written lots of MIDI utilities.  I have one that lists some or
all of the events, depending on your choice of mode.  It would be easy
to add a printout of the note range.

I also have several other programs that can be modified to list just
the highest and lowest note of each file in a folder.  Contact me with
specifics of what might be wanted.
