How to Tune a Player Piano Out of Tune
By Marc Goodman

Hello All -- Regarding Mr. Bernt Damm's recent posting [110820
MMDigest], I am glad that he enjoys hearing a great out-of-tune
upright player. I went to his YouTube posting and heard another
88-note player with the roar of a vacuum cleaner motor in the
background playing a ragtime roll with a hesitant air motor;
awful!

Sorry to say that this fits nicely with the stereotype image that
most people have of a player: out of tune and _no_ expression that
should be put in by the pianolist. And we all want the younger
generation to be interested in players?!

 [ Bernt provided the YouTube video link only to illustrate the
 [ sound. He specified, "Ignore the faulty player." I don't think
 [ he has any connection with the player piano in the video clip.
