Hello All,  I am still looking for a piano to play my only roll.
In earlier [MMD] editions I wrote about a Musette player piano;
I decided against it as I have now found (I believe) a better
instrument.  Thank you so much to everyone who responded to my
question.

The instrument I found is an upright player piano from about the
late 'twenties, a tall upright.  "New York Soloist" is the only
information I have on it at this time.  It is in playing condition,
ivory keys, matching bench, not electrified, and red mahogany.

The owner is asking $350, which I believe is a very good price for
the research I have done.  I looked up the player action on John
Tuttle's Player-Care web site, and under "Soloist" was listed that
it has a "Standard" brand player system.  This sounds good because
according to Player-Care these actions were put into only well-built
instruments (which the owner of the piano says it is), and the player
systems are built well themselves.

I am looking for more information regarding this piano, the player
system, etc.  I hope somebody knows if it's worth the $350 and if
it will play for years to come!

 [ "Soloist" indicates it's an Autopiano.  $350 seems a fair price for
 [ a working player piano, so if you like it then buy it.  But how much
 [ will you spend on transporting it to your home?  Have you, yourself,
 [ played a few rolls at the piano?  Maybe you should hire a piano
 [ tuner/tech to inspect and tune the piano and verify the pin block
 [ is in good condition and won't need replacement.  -- Robbie
