Electrified vs. Foot-Pumped Player Piano
By Steve Marx

Dear MMDers, I'd like to ask your opinions. Why do a great number of
player piano owners set out to put electric motors in their players?
I personally have a problem with electrified players. If your stack
and set of pneumatics are done correctly there is no need to electrify
the piano!

Doesn't the electrification take something away from the experience of
pedalling a real player? Or have we become that lazy we can't even do
that anymore?

A electrified player is nothing more than a expensive CD player!
That's my opinion. I know many of you may take me to task over this.
It seems to me people have lost the fun of players.
