I'm going out on a limb, toying with an idea of (eventually) punching
my own piano rolls (standard 88-note).  Could anyone get me an idea
of what kind of costs are involved?  And, if I were to scrape up the
money, where would I get the necessary equipment?

My gut hunch: this limb is going to be very, very expensive!
