Electronic Tuning Devices for Piano Tuning
By Paul Camps

Hi, I would just like to reiterate that I totally agree with the
comments made by John Tuttle and Don Teach about electronic tuning
aids. Why my agreement with them should have stirred up such an
abundance of "corrective" mail to me personally, I really don't know.

Personally, I don't do piano tuning -- it's mind-bogglingly boring.
I've watched countless tuners over the years and they all seem to
employ a system of stretch tuning, taking into account factors of
tension and compression. I have no problem with anyone using an
electronic aid, just as one can use white glue or silicon sealer;
It's up to the individual what to do.

However, if my agreeing with John or Don has angered anyone then I'm
sorry. It will probably happen again some time in the future.
