FS: Player Piano Gaskets
By John Grant

After reading Duaine Hechler's posting about Simplex gaskets, I was
reminded that around 1995 I had a steel-rule die and gasket making
company make up dies for several popular shapes, including Ampico A
crescendos, Ampico A "upside-down" unit valves (with and without bleed
cut), Ampico A "right-side-up" unit valves, Ampico A lock-and-cancel
valves, Ampico B unit valves, and Ampico B deck-to-chest gaskets.
I also gave them drawings, but did not, to the best of my recollection,
have dies made for Ampico A intensity (4-sided) pneumatics, and Simplex
unit valves.

When I stopped there today to make sure the Simplex die had never been
ordered, they could not find _any_ of my dies, but while they are
searching, and even if I have to have the Simplex die made, I suggest
holding off paying $350 because the prices they charged for similar
sized dies (at least in 1995) were MUCH less. I will supply them with
a fresh Simplex drawing if they cannot find either a die or my original
drawing and they will quote me a die charge and production quantity
prices.

In the next several days I will review my inventory and post some links
to illustrations of what I have available with prices. I may also do
the Ampico A expression cut-out gasket if demand is great enough.
