I have a cylinder music box that plays six tunes.  It measures
21-1/2" by 9-1/2".  The top is inlaid but in poor condition.  The base
was missing pieces so I had a new base made which hasn't been attached.
The paper label inside the lid is in French.  At the bottom of the
label are these words: "Etouffoirs en Acier soit a Spiraux."  If there
is another label or identifying mark I can't find it.

I gave it to a gentleman years ago to repair but he kept it for about
four months and when I asked to have it returned he offered me $2000
for it as is.  I refused and had it returned to me.  There is a noise
when it is playing and right now I can only get it to play by slightly
rotating the cylinder.  Probably over-wound?

I can't decide whether to have it repaired or sell it and am looking
for a person to do either for me.  Can anyone help me?
