I agree with John Tuttle that "what's hard to find are good MIDI files
of modern music for piano". I, too, have attempted to edit modern MIDI
files containing multiple instruments with only poor results. However,
there are a couple of sites I have found which do contain some good
modern piano MIDI files. See Bob Mace's MIDI page:

There was one other, Luciano's Piano Bar, but sadly, I now find it has
closed.
There is also Professor Bill Edwards' site for a lot of hand-played
piano MIDI files (but not modern):
