Now perhaps people see what these auction sales of expensive
instruments really are: ignorant bidding and over-hyped sales to the
wealthy who will not buy stocks or government bonds or any of the other
usual investments.  When the money system collapses only hard goods are
what are desired.  Once one has his five mansions, the yacht, the jet
and the art collection, plus the trophy wife or two, what else can you
put your money into?

Buy quality mechanical musical instruments privately and avoid auctions
like the plague.
