Printing Words & Graphics on Music Rolls
By Dave Saul

It's welcome news that Bob Billings and Danny Wilson are collaborating
on printing graphics and words on music rolls. Roll copying and
production technology continues to evolve, and some of today's products
are becoming as good as, or perhaps better than, the original factory
issues of music roll performances that we are intent on preserving.

About two years ago, Precision Music Rolls began working along the
same lines. We currently offer many Ampico titles on our web site with
words, and the more recent ones are also imprinted with Ampico style
leaders. All of our Ampico production rolls now, including classical
and other non-word rolls, are imprinted with "Ampico Green" labels.
At such time as we may expand to roll types other than Ampico, we
intend to use printed graphics exclusively instead of the "stick on"
labels that have been widely used by recutters in times past.

An example of our printed Ampico label can be seen on the home page
of our web site, http://www.PrecisionMusicRolls.com/
