Hi Folks,  Please help with this search.  I fellow in Maine contacted
me about a loose organ barrel.  He bought it recently from a dealer
in Connecticut, thinking that it might fit an organ he has.  Well, it
didn't fit (a different maker -- fat chance!) so he is planning to
return it to the person from whom he bought it.

_But,_ the barrel is from a very rare organ and it needs to find it's
way back to the organ it came from.  It is very clearly marked with the
makers name: Edward and John Pistor.  They are clock and organ makers
who worked in London during the late 1700's.  They made very high end
clocks and parlor organs.  This barrel appears to be from one of those
parlor organs.  It might even be from a musical clock.

If you have a Pistor organ or if you know of a museum that has one,
please contact me so I can try to help this barrel find its way home.
The barrel is about 15-1/2" long.  The diameter is about 5", maybe.
The shaft sticks out the end about 3", and it's wood, not metal.  the
barrel is in a rather nice wooden box with a sliding door on one end.
