Restoring a Player Piano Immersed in Salt Water
By Douglas Heckrotte

Restoring a piano immersed in salt water -- Perhaps this is a really
dumb question, but, surely the glues are water soluble even in this
relatively new piano? For a piano that was 'dipped' in water, and then
dried, perhaps there'd be some hope for the joints.

Even if you could wash all the salt out of the felts, I doubt that you
could wash out the bushings, and the associated pins would continue to
corrode.
