Bob,  What you want is a CTM (Contact-to-MIDI) 64 interface from Doepfer
Musikelektronik in Germany: http://www.doepfer.de/ctm.htm  This device
has 64 DC inputs (you'll need to drop the signal down to 5 volts) which
translate to 64 MIDI notes.  If you want to cover all 88 notes you'll
need two of them.  They're 99 euros each, which is much cheaper than
when I bought a couple of them for my lab ten years ago!

Speaking of Tel-Electric, I am trying to locate sales records of the
Tel-Electric company.  I am interested in who bought these instruments,
particularly in the Philadelphia area, while they were being manufactured.
