"Grand Piano Pro" MIDI File Player for Android
By James Black

Fellow Brit. Steve Greatrex asks if there is an Android MIDI player
[121227 MMDigest]. I have found an Android app that will play MIDI
files and output them to a USB MIDI device. It is not a MIDI file
player in the conventional sense but it will play and output MIDI files
to a USB MIDI device; no separate driver is needed.

The app is called "Grand Piano Pro" and is available from the Google
play store. I have successfully played my MIDI-fied Duo-Art via a
Chinese USB-to-MIDI device (bought via the usual Internet auction site)
using it on my Asus TF201 tablet. It has the added advantage of being
able to press notes on a virtual keyboard and have the corresponding
note played on the Duo-Art -- useful for testing purposes.

If anyone knows of a real Android MIDI player, I too would like to know.
