Types of Wurlitzer Music Roll Paper
By Dave Krall

What types of paper were used by Wurlitzer for all the various rolls
they produced for their instruments? I'm familiar with the slightly
greenish "mottled" looking paper, which I assume is the wax treated
paper that resisted expansion and contraction. Did Wurlitzer also cut
rolls on a tan version of this paper? When did they first start using
this type of waxed paper?

Were there ever Wurlitzer rolls cut on other non-waxed paper, perhaps
during WW1 years when some paper choices might have been restricted?

Thanks,
Dave Krall
