Windows of any sort since Windows '95 (except the current Windows RT)
includes a MIDI player that supports playlists, and music organization.
The program is called "Windows Media Player".  Windows also includes
a software-based MIDI device so you can hear the file play without
any extra attachments or hardware.

To use Media Player with a MIDI device of your choosing, you will
need to tell Windows to play MIDI files to the MIDI interface.
Directions for this are frequently included with the MIDI Interface.

Whether you are using a Macintosh OS X computer or a Windows computer,
places like Guitar Center and Amazon, and many others, offer MIDI
interfaces that are easy to use and range in price from inexpensive
and up:

Guitar Center, if one is near you, is a good resource.  They will help
you get your MIDI interface working and can advise you on software that
will allow you to make changes to your MIDI music files.
