In response to the Piano Horror Story and moving companies denying
liability because 'it was that way', the simple solution might be
to take a picture of the item before it goes in their truck, _with_
the mover's men or truck in the picture showing the item is in one
piece.  That should stop any 'it wasn't my fault' discussions!

One might also have a paper attached saying _any_ defects (if there
are any) that the mover's people have to sign, stating that the piece
is in 'x' condition.  The mover could claim the muscles have no right
to sign for the company but they _are_ representatives of that company.

It's worth it to spend a few more dollars and go with the pros, not the
commercial movers.  I've used Ron Brewer a few times for larger music
boxes and had absolutely no problems.  They have the experience and are
fully insured.
