The most satisfactory glue pot I have used is the Rival Hot Pot/Kettle
with the addition of a glass salsa jar and a plastic lid with a square
hole about 1.5 inches square.  Available for USA $12.00, even cheaper
at charity shops.

Set the adjustable thermostat to below the boiling point.  Mine has
outlasted my expensive metal glue pot that has a reputation for
destroying itself with corrosion.
