Duo-Art be made to play the later rolls without dropping notes and
rattling the windows on the louder passages?"

I can only assume that the system has no problem playing the 'early'
rolls, but John doesn't indicate what he means by 'later' or 'early'.

Strictly from an objective point of view, if a system can play one
kind of roll well but struggles with another kind of roll, the question
that comes to mind is, what's the difference in the rolls?

I'm guessing that it's the size of the perforations.  If that is
indeed the case, then I would suspect a problem with the pouches.
Smaller perforations deliver a smaller signal to the pouches.
