"The Masters Retouch"
Unless you are at a live concert, chances are that all music
you purchase today for listening has been electronically edited,
cleaned and remastered in a studio to make it more sale-able for
estimated public taste.
The same rules, albeit more primitive, were in place when editors
re-touched music for reproducing piano rolls -- what they thought
would sell best was what they produced.
