A Suction Box Won't Revive an Old Player Piano
By Luke Myers

Suction boxes are an asset to some people who don't like, or don't
want, to pump the player piano, but otherwise, they probably don't
need to be used. Some folks even maintain the attitude that even if
the player action has been eaten into (and destroyed) by moths, mice,
rats, insects, and who knows what else, that the wonderful suction box
"will" revive that junk player. This is a very wrong idea. A suction
box in many ways is just another excuse for not restoring the player.
