Like some others I do not have the time, the bandwidth or the desire
to follow through misleading (or even compulsory) off-topic links, or
to download unavoidable megabyte photographs, merely to read about
mechanical music.  The edited MMD format is excellent, because I can
choose to enjoy or ignore an entire days issue of it simply by reading
the days contents at the top.

Let's avoid having MMD emulate or use Facebook.  Some time ago I dropped
out of Facebook because it was being too intrusive, as if somehow it
were supposed to be the foundation of my existence.  Even dropping out
was intrusive, as Facebook kept trying to convince me that I was making
a terrible mistake.
