The early editions of the Grove's Dictionary of Music and Musicians
contain a lot of useful information that was eliminated in later
editions, such as obscure composer biographies, lists of compositions,
and similar information of interest to mechanical music enthusiasts.

I have a 5-volume set of the first(?) edition dated 1896, a 6-volume
set of the 3rd edition dated 1935, and a 10-volume paper-cover set
of the 5th edition dated 1954. They're yours for only postage
reimbursement.  I'll be gone for four days this week so anticipate
a delay in responding.
