Sealing Leather With Rubber Cement
By Don Teach

I am amazed at all the different remedies for sealing pouches.
When in doubt just use good old rubber cement. It worked for
a hundred years. Personally I have been behind others that have
used who-knows-what. Nothing works as well or as long as rubber
cement. Period!

[ Thinned rubber cement becomes a pliable film (latex?) on the
[ leather surface which stops air flowing. Other leather treatments
[ include various oils which fill the pores. Some information
[ is at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubber_cement and MMDigest
