Fluoroelastomer Sealant for Leather
By John A. Tuttle

[ Ref. Larry Broadmoore in 160622 MMDigest --

Hi All, The owner of Pelseal Technologies, Bill Ross, called me
this afternoon and he asked me to inform the group that the company
will not send out any more free samples to folks in the mechanical
musical instruments field.

Compared to the prices 'we' are accustomed to paying for sealants,
Pelseal is "very" expensive -- over $200 per quart.

After spending about 30 minutes on the phone with the company's
technical representative last week, he suggested that I try their
aerosol spray, which costs $62.00 for one 12-ounce spray can.
I've started the initial testing and I'm extremely impressed.

Lastly, although it will take me some time to figure out the best
way to accomplish the task, I have made it my goal to test all of
the sealants mentioned in the recent postings and others that have
not yet been mentioned. While the endeavor is already proving to
be more costly than I anticipated, I'm hopeful that the results
will benefit our industry.

Musically,
John A Tuttle
