Seek Seeburg Nickel Collection Box Photos
By Wayne Finger

My Seeburg L has a cast iron plate screwed to the floor directly
under the coin exit from the coin counter. This floor plate (see
attached photo) is the holder for the nickel collection box. Alas,
this Seeburg instrument is missing this nickel collection box and
the locking or latching mechanism for it. I would like to replace
the nickel collection box and its related hardware.

Two good friends looked at three other Seeburg Ls, but they were
missing the money box, too. Two of the machines were even missing
the floor plate which would hold the box. I guess few instruments
still have them.

Can any MMDer please describe or send photos of what this collection
box looks like? I believe that it might have two tabs on one end to
fit into the mating holes in the floor plate. It looks like the
opposite end may also connect to the floor plate, or is it held in
by a separate piece?

Any advice, measurements or photos would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Wayne Finger
