Wayne,  I have a nickel coin box in my late model Seeburg L
which mounts in a base plate like the one you pictured.  As soon
as I've recovered from my recent surgery, I will send you photos
and dimensions.  I don't recall any locking mechanism on it.
However, if there was, there should be a hole where the lock was
mounted.
