Bad news, and a request -- It appears that the motor in my Motor Player
suction unit has gone bad.  Part of it is my fault.  I turned on the
suction box this morning at 8:00 a.m. and then let it run for a while.

When I got home from college this afternoon at around 2:00 p.m. I went
downstairs and noticed that the box was not sounding right, and I turned
off the power.  One side of the unit felt fairly hot and something was
most likely smoldering inside.  Apparently the unit will not run at all
now.  Both of the carbon brushes for the motor are worn (one of them is
completely gone) and it almost looks like they were in pretty bad shape
even before I obtained the suction box.

The suction box was purchased from eBay for $70; with shipping included
the price was around $100.  The actual value of the pump was worth more
but I don't want to spend more money on it just to get it going again.

If anyone, and I mean anyone, out there in the MMD world has a working,
good condition suction box they would be willing to send as a replacement
for mine, send me an email soon.
