Seek Mills Violano Maintenance in New Jersey
By Greg Coen

I wondered if there is anyone who knows how to tune and make a
couple of small repairs to a Mills Violano Virtuoso located in
Plainfield, New Jersey. It was restored almost two years ago but
the piano in it needs tuned and there is one violin string that
sticks because the arm that pushes down on the bow wheel doesn't
have enough power to raise back up like the others. Also, there
is an arm that is hitting the metal at the back end of it.

In short, this thing has been a pain in the neck since the day it
arrived. Finally I got the MIDI system working fine but now these
little mechanical problems make it no fun to play at all and it
almost never is played. My advice is unless you know how to tune
the piano and repair everything yourself, don't buy one.

Happy Thanksgiving!
