3D Printing of Player Piano Parts
By Deidre Dixon

I'm just thinking out loud here... In the construction law industry,
the American Institute of Architects (AIA) has a set of form contracts.
The copyright on those forms is owned by the AIA. The forms are
periodically updated and for a fee are available for download on the
AIA website. Or you can pay a license fee for annual access to all the
documents.

I would love to see a similar central repository, not just with CAD
3-D print files, but also with how-to videos on various types of
restoration -- how to start, what is needed, and various techniques.

So much knowledge is ebbing away as long-time restorers are lost, and
even when information is preserved it seems to me it is currently
scattered among various locations. All of which means only the very
motivated will hunt down the resources needed to learn.
