Ampichron Capehart Switch
By George Epple

I also collect and restore Capehart record flipping phonographs and
I wonder if anyone has detailed information of how the Capehart was
controlled by the Ampico B Ampichron clock.

Capehart phonographs were available with an optional, elaborate remote
control option so they could be controlled throughout the residence.
Does anyone own a piano that still retains the complete Capehart
interface?

I have read the few past MMD posts discussing the Capehart switch and
from what I know about controlling a Capehart by remote control, the
Ampichron interface must have been more complex than simply a switched
electrical outlet to supply power to the Capehart.

Thanks,
George Epple
