Moving a Mills Violano
By Jim Quashnock

John, I will send to you, in a separate email, page 116 from the
book, "The Mills Violano-Virtuoso," by Mike Kitner and Art Reblitz,
which covers shipping preparation.

Essentially, if it moves or is removable, strap it down or remove it.
Pay particular attention to the feeder motor governor. Mine was not
removed during shipment and the mount cracked.

I would, at a minimum, remove the heavy governor balls and contact
mechanism from the governor. Better yet, remove the one wire that
goes to it and then remove it totally from the feeder unit. Of course,
remove the violin string weights and strings.
