New Case For Imhof & Mukle Barrel Orchestrion
By Mark Singleton

Dear Everyone, I am in need of help with a project. I have an
early Imhof & Mukle barrel orchestrion of the 1855/65 period. The
instrument, for reason's unknown, was parted from her case at some
point. Can anybody please help with any photographs of pre-1870
orchestrions or large barrel organs?

We have a most talented cabinet maker here in the UK, who's work is
literally on par with the Roentgen family. Having seen the Imhof
playing on YouTube prior to its mechanical restoration, he has
offered to help me re-create a case this instrument so deserves.

This is that once in a lifetime restoration! I have an extensive
bibliography, except Herbert Jttemann's book; if anyone has a spare
copy, I would be happy to purchase it and pay postage. Thanking
anyone in advance who may be able to help.

With much appreciation,

Mark Singleton
