Amen to all you've said, Reg!  Though many people listen to the end
of the tune, I've had people ask me at shows to play a certain box,
then after a few seconds they proceed to tell me about "the one
Grandma had."

I've been known to turn on a box for someone to hear, then take a few
steps back and wait until the tune is over to ask if they have any
questions.
