Wurlitzer Electric Player Piano
By Robbie Rhodes

Last week I was offered, for free(!), a Wurlitzer 1202 electric
solenoid player piano, probably manufactured in the 1960s. The
piano, a drop action spinet, seems in good shape. The owner says
the player system worked fine before it was stored for several
years.

The spool box motors operate okay but there's no sound from the
tiny suction pump. According to John Tuttle and others the problem
is likely with the motor brushes.

I really don't need another player piano but I think I'll accept
this one because I'm quite curious about the electric switch system
within the tracker bar assembly. What problems might I find inside?
