FS: Apollophone Phono & Player Piano Combinations
By Ronald Hardwig

If anyone is interested in purchasing them, I have salvaged two
of these Apollophone pianos (phonograph & player piano combinations)
to rebuild. I picked them up because the one with the mechanism was
about to be discarded, as it had water damage to the case. However,
I found a second one that had a good case, but the player mechanism
had been removed. The serial numbers place them about one year apart.

They look identical inside and see no reason that the two could not
be made into one working Apollophone. All the mechanism is there.
The spring winds, all the record player is there and everything else
just needs the normal player and piano rebuilding.

The piano with the good case has a serial number 20486 so, according
to the Pierce Piano Atlas, it was made in 1912. The Apollophone with
the good insides, serial number 18148 was made in 1911. The attachment
is a picture of the two Apollophone pianos setting face to face, good
case on the left and piano with good mechanisms on the right. You can
see a listing for an Apollophone being rebuilt at
