Lead Tubing Is Crushed Behind the Spool Box
By Matthew Caulfield

When I first read Bobby Kent's question about how to repair crushed
lead tubing in his player piano, I was thrown by the word "stint,"
which I only know as an amount of time spent at a particular task.
But looking the word up in my dictionary I see that the term is also
a variant of the word "stent." I'm familiar with stent as a medical
term used in connection with artery blockages.

So I guess that what Bobby is asking about is a stent. Why not just
cut out the blocked section of the affected lead tubing and slip on
a piece of rubber tubing of the appropriate diameter?

John Tuttle's Player-Care website has many sizes of rubber tubing
listed on this page: http://www.player-care.com/tubing.html

John may also have some better advice on how to solve the crushed lead
tubing problem.
