QRS Artecho Roll Played By Artur Schnabel?
By Paul Rumpf

I have a large size QRS Artecho roll in rather poor but repairable
condition. The roll end is a QRS metal end of 2-5/8 inch diameter.
I don't need the roll and would like it to go to a good home.

The pianist seems to be an Arthur or Artur Shurree or Shueree.
I dunno; I just can't make it out. The music is mindful of the
William Tell Overture.

I have parts of Bob Billings' rollography, Volume 3, but it stops
at page 143, whereas I need the whole thing up to the S's, at least.
Can someone help me to sort this out?

 [ I believe the signature is pianist Artur Schnabel, who recorded
 [ almost two dozen rolls for Hupfeld and Welte-Mignon before 1911;
 [ some of these performances were later re-published by QRS.
