Regarding the bird trainer box that Christopher Proudfoot asked about,
I recently sold such a box at the MBSI Mart at the Annual MBSI Meeting
in New Jersey.  It was also unmarked as to the maker.  It has been my
understanding that these were used to train captured singing birds in
Victorian era homes.
