Unknown Player Action in Schiller Piano
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, A technician contacted me about a player action that I can't
identify. The action is in a Schiller piano.

I have a couple of pictures of one of the pneumatic units. Each
unit is one inch wide and three inches long. As you can see in the
pictures, the pneumatics face forward and a lever contacts the piano
action.

The stack is a two-tier variety with forty-four units per tier. The
pneumatic units mount to a metal plate which is designed such that it
serves as the intake valve seat and valve guide. The metal plate is
mounted to a wooden compartment which contains the pouches.

Not including the pneumatic units, the tier is only 3/4" thick.
Hopefully, the pictures make all of this a little more clear. If you
know who made this action, please contact me and post it to the Digest.

Musically,
John A Tuttle
