Casino Pier Band Organ & Carousel
By Andrew Lardieri

Future Home For The Dr. Floyd Moreland Carousel

The borough of Seaside Heights, New Jersey, now owns the 1910
Dentzel/Looff/Stein & Goldstein/Carmel carousel and Wurlitzer
146-A band organ which are still being run by Casino Pier.

However, there is hope that a new home for the carousel is going
to be constructed sometime, but there are drawbacks to this:

First, moving and restoring the carousel is an expensive and time
consuming task that not many people care about or have absolutely
no interest in learning;

Second, building a new home for the carousel also costs a fortune
and takes loads and loads of time and months to complete.

With this being said, my family is slowly raising funds to meet these
goals for the carousel and I do hope that someday, the carousel will
be restored to its full potential for continuing generations of
families to see and experience.

My personal favorite figure on the machine is a Dentzel stander with
a roach mane named John.
