Converting Simplex Unit to Normal Pneumatic
By Luke Myers

Has anyone seen or heard of the procedure of converting a unit
pneumatic to the function of a normal pneumatic, i.e., putting the
valve assembly in someplace else than in the pneumatic?

I have tried to figure out how to eliminate the unit valve but so far
have not reached a satisfactory conclusion, so I am seeking suggestions
on a kind of different valve arrangement that I can use besides a unit
valve arrangement.

P.S. The Simplex stack in my prior articles was bought by me for the
sole purpose of experimentation. I have not yet decided what to use
it in, or for. I have entertained the notion of building some sort of
nickelodeon or automated musical machine around it. Any suggestions
are appreciated. I don't want to build a machine which gives me less
profit than my investment in it, nor do I want to build something that
is a complete failure.
