Cost Of 4-minute 30-note Musical Box Tune
By Harald M. Mueller

Could a 4-minute tune be put on a cylinder music box? I have
arranged Manolis Kalomiris' Nocturne (1) for the 30-note Sankyo
music box movement (2):

My answer was that this would be impossible, first, because the duration of this piece (more than 4 minutes) would not fit on a cylinder music box (although it could be done with spiral tracks); and second, that the cost would be enormous. But -- I am not at all a specialist in music boxes, so is what I said true? Or could my arrangement be put on a cylinder music box with reasonable cost? Harald Mueller Grafing near Munich, Germany
