I don't have an exact answer as to why a device would be named
a Seraphone -- people can name things whatever they want to.  But
my guess is that whoever named it was thinking of seraphim, a type
of angels mentioned in the Bible.  Thus, the idea was probably to
indicate that the device had an angelic voice or sound.
