I have just come across a MIDI file player for PCs that some may be
interested in.  It is called "Piano from Above" and it is primarily
a player with a piano roll view which plays vertically just like
a music roll does.  It can be viewed full screen with no clutter --
great for demonstrations.

The software is old and not supported by anyone but the download
link seems to work:

I had been looking for software like this for years without success.
