Hi Group,  The attached audio file is exactly what Jim Kracht did
not ask for [190724 MMD]!  I have a Nelson-Wiggen Style 8 with the
instrumentation listed in the literature.  It plays Style "A" rolls.
It has piano, mandolin, single-strike orchestra bells, and reiterating
xylophone.

The bells and xylophone are each folded in half.  The bells are mounted
on the left side of the case and the xylophone is mounted on the right
side of the case.

When the extra instrument is called upon the bells play.  When the extra
instrument is called up again a shifter is activated and the xylophone
plays.  They alternate back and forth each time they are called up.

I was once offered a Nelson-Wiggen that the seller said was a Style 8.
When it was unloaded the bottom of the case came loose on one end and
dropped down.  The men quickly tilted it back up on a dolly.  My guess
is that it had been in at least a foot of water.

On inspection it was a Style 8 case with a piano, mandolin, and a
straight xylophone running from left to right in the top of the case
like a  Style 4X.  I don't know if it was single strike xylophone as
it was far from playing condition.

Anyway, attached is a recording of one tune ("Wishing") from Clark
A-roll 1518, with single-strike bells and a reiterating xylophone.
